Archangel's Blade by Nalini Singh

Archangel's Blade - Nalini Singh

ARCHANGEL'S BLADE was even better than the previous books in the Guild Hunter Series and I may possibly love Dimitri and Honor more than I love Elena and Rapheal which I didn't think possible. Nalini Singh has done a wonderful job with this story and I was surprised to have really liked it.

““I’ve never met an angel like Illium.” Regardless of his stunning appearance, he had seemed more “human” than any other immortal she had ever met. A hard glance. “Flirt with him if you want, Honor, but you’re mine.”

I am sure there has been hundreds of reviews out by now of the plot of the story so I will not go too much into it, but the hero and heroine of the story, Dimitri and Honor were both tortured and have had a bad past and them finding each other was the best possible thing ever. I really loved this couple. Dimitri is really hot! I mean seriously we have a few sexy scenes that I swear I must have read them multiple times. By the time the book is finished, scratch that, in a few chapters in you will be obsessed with Dimitri!

“Honor?”
“Yes.”
“I’m going to do things to you now that a good girl definitely shouldn’t let a man do to her.”

Why then did I not give this book more than three stars? Even though I loved the storyline and the characters in this book, I would have to say after I read the first Guild Hunter book the others have become quite slow reads and it was the same with ARCHANGEL'S BLADE. There are books that are fast-paced, yes?

I would call these books slow-paced since it really takes me forever to get the book read. I mean seriously? Three-hundred and ten pages normally takes me three days. I've had to be reading this book more than a week. I loved it, but something huge is missing here, not just in this book, but in all the books in the Guild Hunter Series.

““I can’t be anyone’s slave, Dmitri. Not ever.” “That won’t be a problem.” Then, because this was Honor, who knew him as no other did on this earth, he said, “You’ll only ever serve me.” “Arrogant man.”

Anyway, if you are a PNR fan or have loved or read the pervious book in the Guild Hunter Series then you are going to love ARCHANGEL'S BLADE. It's impossible not to.
