LORD OF THE FADING LANDS was a beautiful story that I would loved to have heard when I was a little girl. I remember in childhood when I loved all these stories where the princess and prince have their happily ever after.

This is a fated to be mated love story and an excellent one at that. The only reason why my rating is down a bit is because fantasy is not usually my type of read and it did start out a little difficult getting used to the fae words and their meaning, also this is set in a historical setting which I am not quite used to.

I won't go too much into the plot of the story, but I will say there will be characters you love and also characters you hate to the point of wishing yourself into the book and slapping them senseless, which I did on occasion. Overall this was an epic beginning to beautifully written love story.
